Interview
Antonino Cardillo, with Luca De Giuseppe
From a young age, a passion nurtured by the Sicilian landscapes and a profound curiosity for research and experimentation. Thus began Antonino Cardillo’s love affair with architecture. “It happened one late afternoon,” Cardillo explains. “I was seventeen years old. Seeing a small electrical construction in the countryside, I thought how wonderful it would be to live at the top of a tower, in a square room with a window on each side. The next day, I bought an architectural dictionary and spent the summer reading it, much like one would a book that tells of distant lands.”
